Novela 2 of the Murderbot series. I feel like Martha Wells is really getting into the voice and feel of the sec bot in this one. I really enjoyed ART and the sec bot having to help some humans while searching for more information. I liked this much more than the first book, and the first book was good. I think here, it is her leaning into the non-familiarity of being a human, and trying to reconcile that things. The human characters do feel a bit paper-doll, but I think that is okay because we are seeing things through the sec bot perspective.
I also enjoy that the sec bot is trying to find out more about his past and what happened where he supposedly killed a bunch of humans. And this deeper mystery that is starting to unravel. I also wonder, are we going to see the sexbot again. It has to happen.
